Most of our team started in consulting roles in some form. While some coaches are just consultants in different outfits, actual coaches understand the difference between the two models and can deliver results to clients accordingly. Speakers
Being a professional speaker is more than just getting up at an event and talking. A professional speaker is someone who looks at it as a profession. A craft. Something you want to master, become known for, and be well-compensated for. We work with professional speakers to circle their ability with a business model that generates revenue, creates a platform (leading to more events), dominates in niche markets that will book you to speak, and work with you to avoid the pitfalls that cost speakers money, reputation, and opportunities. Learning to position, promote, price, and engage niche markets is 90% of the model (assuming you know how to speak and have engaging content).
We can also work with you on your content related to the markets you want to serve; however, if you are still working on your craft (learning how to become a great speaker), we don't work with clients on this particular skill. We have an established relationship with a world-class speaking coach, Ruth Sherman, who can get you sorted on the performance side of spe. Once your abilities are dialled in, we can discuss working with you to build your professional speaking business model. Self-Help Authors
There is nothing that builds out a consulting, coaching or professional speaking practice like writing a book. It becomes a world-class business card for your consulting and coaching services. It is an unmatched promotion for your speaking business and an additional profit model for your speaking events. If you are already a speaker, having a book doubles your speaking fees and streamlines your ability to get traditional media (tv, radio, print) and new media (podcasts, etc.).
We work with established business professionals who want to write a business or self-help book to determine the function of a book within their existing business models. This includes amplifying your effectiveness within other profit models you may have yet to consider.
We also work with you in understanding the mechanics of writing the book (concept, market targeting, outlining, and project management), and we have access to proven editors and designers that other clients have worked with once the Rough Draft of your manuscript is completed.
PLEASE NOTE: We don't work with fiction authors. We don't work with those wanting to write a book that doesn't have another business model the book can feed. We consider the process of writing a book something that can't be underestimated. It must be used as a turbo boost on an existing business model rather than a stand-alone project. Those who want to be business authors without the speaking and/or consulting component that a book benefits will be disappointed in most cases. A book should be seen as an extension rather than a replacement for a business model.
